Belleville’s public schools will reopen Monday, School Board President Pete Zangari told Patch Friday evening. A full week of school -- with the exception of Tuesday, Election Day -- is planned, he said.
Currently, all schools except 9 and 10 have electricity. Zangari said school officials are hopeful power will be restored at those buildings by Monday.
“We’re being optimistic they’ll be ready and safe for students,” he said.
If the schools don’t have power by then, however, Zangari said that School 9 students will use the middle school and School 10 students will use the high school.
“A determination will be made by Saturday night and each parent will be notified,” he said.

There's a downed tree balanced on power lines on Adelaide st. across the street from School No# 5! That needs to be cut down before anyone can go to school!

Do not think this is fair to place smaller kids w the older kids. Last year bc one school did not have power all schools in Belleville remained closed.
