BHS Boys Basketball Wins Again

Rodriguez, Rosario dominate inside during 63-54 victory over Glen Ridge

Instead of waiting for the fourth quarter, the Belleville High School boys basketball seized control of Thursday's game against Glen Ridge during the second quarter en route to its second consecutive victory, a 63-54 decision that improved the Buccaneers to 7-4.

Although only five Belleville players entered the scoring column, four reached double digits. Senior forwards Julian Rodriguez (21 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks) and Tommy Rosario (17 points, 9 boards, 5 assists) dominated inside, while junior Dominique Issac (13 tallies) and senior Keith Everett (10 points) offered perimeter balance.

Belleville will get a chance to atone for its season-opening loss to Arts when the teams tip off Saturday at 1 p.m. at BHS. Arts earned a 64-63 triumph at home Dec. 16.
