Nutley Offers CPR Training for Residents
Commissioner Tucci stresses that course can help keep families safe.
The Nutley Parks & Recreation Department is offering residents CPR & defibrillator Training.
“As organizers of youth programs and events, we feel offering this essential program will allow coaches, parents and anyone who touches the life of a child an opportunity to educate themselves with life-saving CPR techniques,” Commissioner Mauro Tucci said in a press release. "This program will be one of the most important things you can do to protect your children."
The three hour class provides training materials from the American Heart Association and is designed to be interesting and memorable, so it can be retained during an emergency situation.
Each class will include CPR/AED/choking for adult, children and infants.
An evening session is available on April 24, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Parks and Recreation Department, at 44 Park Ave in Room 201. The fee for this program is $65 per student. Class size is limited and registrations will be honored on a first come first serve basis.
Registration is available online or in the office at the Recreation Department. If you need further information, please contact the Nutley Recreation Department at (973)284-4966, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
