Local Students Make Honor Roll at St. Peter's Prep

Students from Belleville and Nutley recognized by prestigious Jersey City Catholic high school.

 

Saint Peter’s Prep Principal James C. DeAngelo of announced in early March that local residents attained honor roll status for the second marking period of 2012-2013.

Belleville: Joshua Yanicak, '16, earned First Honors. Arley Giraldo, '14 and Ryan Villadarez, '14, achieved Second Honors. Honorable Mention was earned by Joseph Calandra, '13 and Jacob Yanicak, '13. 

Nutley: Matthew Halchak, '13, Kyle Lupo, '13, Brendan Boardingham, '14, Matthew Capobianco, '14, Kieran Purcell, '14, Kyle Bowes, '15, Benjamin Halligan, '15, and Michael Fogle, '16, achieved First Honors.  Perry Zirpoli, '14, Nicholas Cozzarelli, '15, and Sean Johnson, '15, achieved Second Honors.  Honorable Mention was earned by Alexander Duva, '13 and Anthony Sabia, '15.

In a press release, the Jersey City prep school explained that First Honors is awarded to students with an average of A or higher (4.0) and no grade lower than a C.

Second honors is awarded to students with an average at or above the midpoint between A and B+ (3.7) and no grade lower than a C.

Honorable Mention is awarded to students with an average of B+ or higher (3.5) and no grade lower than a C.
