Nutley: Car Break-in Attempts Reported

Several incidents all occurred the same day

Three cars were broken into during the day Dec. 22, Nutley police reported.

Police received a report around 11:50 am from the resident of an apartment complex on River Road. Sometime during the previous night or early that morning someone broke into a 2009 Nissan and stole a Garmin GPS unit.

Another River Road resident told police her 2010 Infiniti was broken into overnight, with damage to the door handle and lock seen. In a third incident reported shortly after 1 pm, a door handle of a 2013 Dodge was also damaged in an apparent attempt to enter the vehicle.

Nothing was taken from either of these cars, police said.

Since there are so many car break-ins by River Road why don't they install cameras, whomever owns the property should do so in my opinion.
