Nutley Officials Honor Fallen Veteran Pervis Robison

Robison died 50 years ago in submarine accident.

Nutley officials joined active members of the U.S. Marine in a solemn ceremony commemorating the 50th anniversary of Nutley’s Pervis Robison death.

Robison, a Nutley High graduate, was a Navy serviceman who died when the submarine he was assigned to lost power and imploded off the coast of Cape Cod during a test run.

Nutley Commissioner Steve Rogers, a retired naval commander, led the ceremony at Robison’s memorial outside of town hall on Wednesday morning.
