Police Blotter: Disorderly Conduct at CVS, Wet

The following information was provided by the Belleville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Jan. 26

Disorderly Conduct

Police arrested Camillia C. Forde, 29, of East Orange outside of Wet Gentlemen's Club on the corner of Union and Belleville avenues at 1:37 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers saw the suspect arguing with another women, with both screaming obscenities and threatening each other. After being encouraged to calm down and leave, Forde allegedly began to violently flail her arms before being arrested.

Jan. 24

Criminal Mischief

A landlord at 1 S. Carpenter Terr. told police several tenants said they were without cable TV after the cable company noticed eight wires cut in the building's rear before replacing them. The incident could have occurred between Jan. 18-20.

Possession of a Hypodermic Needle/Warrant

While patrolling at 3:52 p.m., officers saw a suspect they knew had a $2,000 warrant from Belleville and arrested Philip J. Gesumaria, 34, of Belleville, at 69 Harrison St. at 3:52 p.m.

As he was being handcuffed, he warned, “Officers, there's a needle in my front pocket. I don't want you to get stuck.”

Gesumaria was held in lieu of the warrant and transported to the county jail.

Shoplifting

Ray Marshall, 49, of Newark, was arrested after a security officer at the Pathmark located at 115 Belmont Ave. told police the suspect attempted to leave the store with $99.80 worth of baby formula. Marshall was held on $500 bail and transported to county jail.

Jan. 23

Attempted Motor Vehicle Theft

A resident at 46 Bridge St. told police he heard a noise outside his home, but did not immediately check outside. When he did, he noticed the steering column and ignition broken on his silver 2008 Dodge Ram, as well as the driver's side lock popped out. The victim told police possible suspects could have included a dark-colored, two-door Honda or a white Oldsmobile Alero that may have been occupied by four black men.

Motor Vehicle Thefts

A resident at 669 Joralemon St. told police he thought his roommate took his silver 2003 Jeep Cherokee to run an errand, but realized the vehicle was stolen. The victim reported the theft at 7:58 a.m., but said he last saw his Jeep at 6 a.m.

A victim at 11 N. 7th St. told police he parked his green 1996 Honda Civic in front of his house at 10 a.m., but noticed his car missing when he went outside at 10:30 p.m. The victim saw broken glass in the area the car was parked. Two days later, the car was recovered in Newark.

Simple Assault

An incident stemming from an alleged threat three days earlier occurred at Belleville High School, 100 Passaic Ave., at 12:30 p.m.

The parents of a 15-year-old girl told police a classmate of their daughter's said Jan. 20 she would come to their house and beat her up. The confrontation took place after gym class in the staircase, where the victim was allegedly punched in the back, chest, head, and mouth before the altercation was broken up by teachers.

The case was referred to the Belleville Police Department's Juvenile Bureau.

Jan. 22

Disorderly Conduct

A Newark woman who came into the CVS located at 519 Washington Ave. at 11:21 p.m. claimed she purchased items the previous night, but after store video disproved her claim, she grew upset before police arrived and arrested her.

Wanda Rodriguez, 50, lunged her right arm and shoulder toward an officer as she was being arrested while saying, “I'm not leaving, I'm not going anywhere.” In addition to being charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, she had three outstanding warrants: two from Newark totaling $7,500 and $125, respectively, and a no-bail from the Essex County Sheriff's Department.

Rodriguez was turned over to the county sheriff.

DWI

After seeing a silver Volkswagen Jetta parked on the corner of Washington and East Overlook Avenues with its lights on, police approached and saw an unresponsive Maplewood woman slumped over the steering wheel.

After opening the driver's side door, officers saw a prescription bottle on the lap of Anna Wnorowski, 28, and contacted the EMS. While waiting, the suspect slowly opened her eyes and slurred her speech while telling police she took a couple of generic Xanax pills. Several other pills were found in a container.

Wnorowski was transported to Clara Maass Medical Center for treatment. She was issued several motor vehicle summonses and also charged with being under the influence of narcotics.

Missing Person

Following a fight stemming from a mother taking her 14-year-old daughter's cell phone at 304 Greylock Parkway, the girl was reported missing. The mother told police at 10:25 p.m. she last saw her daughter at about 8 p.m. and believed the girl exited through her bedroom window to possibly visit a male friend in New York City.

At 12:05 a.m., however, an officer responded and the girl returned home.

Jan. 21

Missing Person

At 3 p.m., a parent told her police their 17-year-old son left his home at 368 Belleville Ave. on 1 p.m. the previous day and went to a friend's house in town. Officers responded to the friend's address, discovering the boy before bringing him back to his residence.

Motor Vehicle Theft

A victim reported the purple 1994 Honda Civic parked on the corner of Hornblower Ave and Rutgers Street at 9 p.m. on Jan. 20 was missing when he returned at 11:58 a.m. the following day.
