Last Friday, School No. 3 students celebrated “Spirit Day” by dressing down and wearing t-shirts displaying the theme of “School Three – The Place to BEE.”
All students at School No. 3 were given free orange t-shirts with navy-blue lettering spelling out “Belleville” and “School Three is the Place to Bee” by the school's Home & School Association, which is led by president Gaby Bennett-Meany, at the outset of each school year. In past years, t-shirts have ranged from white to camouflage.
Since the inception of the school district's uniform policy this year, elementary schools are allowed one dress-down or spirit day per marking period – a request that must be submitted in writing by the building's administrator.
