Nutley's office of Public Affairs hosts a free blood pressure screening tonight and tomorrow night from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Belleville's Municipal Council meets at at 7 p.m. at council chambers in the Municipal Building.
The Nutley High School Girls Varsity Basketball takes on Colonia High School in a 7 p.m. home game.
There will be a Blood Drive at V.F.W. Post #493 (Across from Nutley Animal Hospital) from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. All donors must present I.D and first time donors must know thier social security numbers# at the time of donation. All blood donors must weigh a minimum of 120lbs. Please have a meal 1 hour before donating and drink plenty of water. Donors receive a $10 ShopRite gift card. Belleville officials remind the public that today is the last day to file claim with FEMA for Hurricane Sandy damages.
The Suburban Essex Chamber of Commerce holds its Annual Banquet “Installation of our Executive Board, Trustees and Awards Banquet” at The Chandelier in Belleville.
The Nutley Irish American Alliance hold its 35th annual St. Patrick’s Day parade, beginning at 1 pm. Grand Marshal is John Kelly, the owner of JK’s Boathouse in Belleville and a longtime member of the Nutley Crew Boosters.
A post-parade party will follow at the Knights of Columbus hall, 150 Chestnut St., from 3 to 7 pm. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children aged 12 to 18 and can be purchased by calling Joe Milbauer at 973-626-4439. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $25.
