On Saturday, September 8th from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Mr. Ed Saegers, President of the Lions Club of Bellevile will be a guest "Celebrity Scooper" at Rita's Italian Ice in Belleville. During this time frame the Savare family, owner/operators of Rita's, will donate 15% of the receipts to the Lions Club of Belleville. This event has been very well received by the community in prior years and the Lions and Rita's look forward to another exciting afternoon. The Lions Club of Belleville also teams up with Rita's during the Holiday season for the sale of Christmas trees and wreaths. This type of community team building has allowed the Lions Club to maintain its Scholarship Fund even during these difficult economic times. The 2012 winner was Rick Gencarelli of Bellevile High School. So please come out, have a cool refreshing ice and assist your community. Rita's Italin Ice is located at the corner of Belleville and Union Avenues.

This location offers more than 40 flavors, and all are made fresh daily on the premises. The staff welcomes customers with a smile and follows it up with some delicious treats that are sure to please. This location is a seasonal business, open March through October only.
