Military Park is across from the Military Park Building and the New Jersey Historical Society. The park is a 6-acre city park in downtown. The park features monuments, such as the Wars of America monument, created by the same sculptor who created Mount Rushmore. The park features a three-level underground parking lot. The park is home to annual events, such as Africa-Newark Festival celebrating African culture.
