Comedy, Art and Football Top Weekend Events

Patch's picks for the day in Belleville and Nutley.

Sunday night, the Chandelier Belleville hosts the Carlo Bellario "Cut me Up" Comedy Roast. The event honors and raises funds for the Belleville native comedian who underwent gastric bypass surgery to combat obesity. Scheduled comedy stars include Colin Quinn and the Rev. Bob Levy. 

The “Art on the Avenue” art festival returns to the Nutley Library on Saturday morning and afternoon. From 9 am to 1 pm, the art festival will once again feature local artists whose works range from photography to painting, sketch and sculpture. Art lovers can enjoy of the artwork and can buy select pieces. 

Belleville High School takes on James Caldwell High on Saturday at 2 p.m. in a home game.
