Nutley's Board of Commissioners Meet on Thursday

The Nutley Board of Commissioners, knocked off of schedule by Tuesday’s election, is scheduled to meet on Thursday night at 7 at the Municipal building. 

Belleville’s Zoning Board meets at 7 on Thursday night at the Belleville Municipal building’s chambers.

Nutley’s Shade Tree Committee is scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m. in Room 300 of the Parks & Recreation building at 44 Park Ave.

On Saturday, the Belleville Fire department is hosting a blood drive at their headquarters on 275 Franklin Ave. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residents are urged to take part to help Belleville firefighter Kevin Lissenden, who needs a blood transfusion. Both Nutley and Belleville observe Veteran’s Day on Sunday. At 1:30 p.m. on Nutley holds a Day of Honor: Veterans Appreciation Day at Kingsland Manor. The four hour-plus event includes a Civil War Historical Display and Re-enactment by Company B of 2nd Rhode Island Infantry and a Medal Ceremony honoring World War II Veterans.
