Schools Open in Belleville

Patch's picks and tips for the day in Belleville and Nutley.

Thursday is opening day for all Belleville Schools. 

Rosh Hashanah started last night on Wednesday, Sept. 4 and ends on Friday evening.

The Nutley Rotary Club meets at noon at the Stockton room of the township library. The Library also hosts an adult scrabble game starting at 7 p.m.

The Belleville Health Department  offers seasonal influenza vaccine for Belleville Residents.  Non-perishable food donations for a local food pantry would be appreciated. Residents interested must pre-register by calling 973-450-3394 or 973-450-3390

On Friday, Nutley offers a Drive-in Movie Night in Municipal Parking Lot 1 with an outdoor screening of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory starring Gene Wilder. Reservations are needed; price is $15 per car for the first 100 cars. Call the Department of Public Works at (973) 284-4959.
