Special Primary Election and Classic Cars

Find out what's going on Tuesday in Belleville and Nutley.

The Special Primary election for Frank Lautenberg’s senate seat is today. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Click here for more information. 

Nutley holds its weekly “Cruisin’ at Nutley” event on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The free classic car show takes place at Municipal Lot No. 1, at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Williams Street.  

Throughout the month, the Rutgers Street Bridge in Belleville will be periodically closed to traffic to facilitate a clean-up of the Passaic river. Check here for the schedule.

Starting in August, Belleville recycling pick up will change to Single-Stream (also known as “fully commingled” or "single-sort") system. All recyclables are placed in the same recycle bin. Recycling should go out after 5 p.m. on Tuesday for pick up on Wednesday.

Nutley’s Planning Board meets at the Nutley Municipal Building in the Commission Chambers on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
