Photo: Essex Cherry Blossom Festival Schedule Released

Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. announced an exciting line-up of activities for the 38th Annual Essex County Cherry Blossom Festival during a press conference in Essex County Branch Brook Park on Tuesday, April 1. The festival begins Saturday, April 5, with the Cherry Blossom Challenge Bicycle Race and concludes on Sunday, April 13, with the Bloomfest community festival.

The cherry blossom display in Essex County Branch Brook Park is larger than the national display in Washington, DC, and is the most diverse collection of cherry blossom varieties in the world. Aetna is sponsoring the Cherry Blossom Festival for the fifth consecutive year.
