Nutley Theater Auditioning Actors for April Play

Local theater staging 'Lobby Hero'

Nutley Little Theatre has scheduled auditions at the NLT Barn, 47 Erie Place, Nutley, on Sunday, Feb. 10, and Monday, Feb. 11, 7:30 p.m. both nights, for its production of Kenneth Lonergan’s drama, “Lobby Hero.”

The cast requires three men, ages 20 to 50-plus. One of the roles is for an African-American man. There is one role for a woman, in the 20-35 age range. Evening performances of “Lobby Hero” will be on April 12, 13, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27. Matinees are on April 14, 21 and 27. Additional dates may be added within this range.

The New York Times called “Lobby Hero” the best American drama of the first half of this century; it tells the story of Jeff, the luckless security guard drawn into a local murder investigation involving his superior and an overzealous young policewoman. “Lobby Hero” is about fateful, revealing decisions, and how they often emerge from conflicting motivations.
