Nutley Thriving Survivors Brunch is Sunday

Tickets are going fast for the 10th annual Nutley Thriving Survivors Brunch this Sunday honoring women who have lived through breast cancer.

The guest speaker at the event is Pat Battle, the New Jersey correspondent for NBC News Channel 4. The event will be held at Nanina’s in the Park, 540 Mill St. in Belleville.

The event is not a fundraiser, said the group’s Michele Fleitell, but a “celebration” of those whose lives have been affected by the disease. Roche has given the group a donation being used to pay the ticket price for a survivor who lives or works in Nutley and one guest. The ticket price others pay just covers costs, Fleitell said.

During the event, she added, individual survivors will be honored.
