Cheryl Karol, owner of Nutley's Elements Therapeutic Massage, believes a monthly or weekly massage can be a critical part of a personal health routine.
With a background in hard science and a career in healthcare, the Nutley resident is qualified to make that call.
The former Roche employee started the Franklin Street massage studio six months ago after learning that the chemical manufacturer was moving out of Nutley. Opening an Elements Therapeutic Massage made sense for her, she said, as she spent 35 years working in sciences.

With over a dozen employees and a growing customer base, the franchise entered its first semi-anniversary in late September with a bright outlook.
