Santa Arrives in Belleville

The Belleville police and fire departments Saturday hosted the annual arrival of Santa to town. Hundreds of families gathered at the house to have pictures taken with Santa and to enjoy a buffet lunch provided by several local restaurants.

The police and fire departments also continued their annual toy drive, which will benefit needy families in Belleville and nearby communities.

The agencies are collecting new and like-new toys through Dec. 29. Toys can be dropped off at fire headquarters, 275 Franklin Ave., or at police headquarters, located at town hall on Washington Ave.
