Winning Lottery Tickets Sold in Nutley, Montclair, West Orange

No tickets were good for the big prize, but dozens of other winners -- including eight million-dollar prizes -- bought in Jersey Wednesday

Lottery tickets purchased in New Jersey for last night’s record-breaking Powerball drawing are not among the two winners for the more than half-billion dollar prize, but dozens of Garden State venues did sell winning tickets for smaller yet substantial  amounts -- including eight worth a jackpot of $1 million each.

Those seven-figure winners bought their tickets in Atlantic, Ocean, Bergen and Hudson counties, state lottery officials announced Thursday. The million-dollar jackpot was the second-place prize in last night’s lottery.

Another two Jersey locations, in Bergen and Gloucester counties, each sold a third-place ticket good for a $40,000 jackpot.

And an additional 29 locations in New Jersey -- including three in Essex County -- each sold a ticket good for a $10,000 prize.

Those three are the 7-Eleven located at 38 Passaic Ave. in Nutley, the Quick Shop at 627 Eagle Rock Ave. in West Orange and the Quick Chek at 146 Valley Road in Montclair.

The next Powerball drawing will be Saturday, when the jackpot will be reset to $40 million.
