Mickey's Bar in Lyndhurst to Host Second Annual Halloween Karaoke For-A-Cure to Benefit Camp Quality NJ on Nov. 1

Mickey's Bar in Lyndhurst, N.J. will host "Halloween Karaoke For-A-Cure," a fundraiser to benefit Camp Quality NJ, an organization providing free overnight camping experiences for kids with cancer on Friday, November 1.

Registration begins at 8:30 p.m. and the contest immediately follows. Contestants will compete for cash prizes of $125 for first place and $75 for second place.  In addition, $50 will be awarded for Best Costume for those participating in the karaoke contest.

Participation is limited so early registration is suggested.  Contestants must be at least 18 years old. The cost to participate is $10 per song. Past winners of Karaoke for a Cure are eligible to participate but not eligible to win.

Camp Quality, whose credo "Letting kids with cancer be kids again," is open to children who are between the ages of five and 17.  Camp takes place at a fully-equipped sleep-away camp located off I-80 in Sussex County, N.J.  Each camper is assigned their own companion and is able to participate in a full-range of activities from morning to night.  CQNJ also provides year round activities for the campers and their families.
