We Are What We Build: Designing a Healthier Community

The Nutley Community Preservation Partnership hosts a talk by leading public health expert Dr. Richard Jackson titled We Are What We Build: Designing A Healthier Community. Dr. Jackson will explore how the design of our communities--where we live, work, learn, and play--affects our ability to stay healthy. Dr. Jackson is the host of the PBS series Designing Healthy Communities and co-author of the companion book (designinghealthycommunities.org). Dr. Jackson is Professor and Chair of Environmental Health Sciences at the Fielding School of Public Health at the University of California in Los Angeles.
