Nutley 'Miracle Beagle' to Appear in Rose Parade

Daniel will participate in New Year's Day parade after surviving Alabama gas chamber.

A Beagle named Daniel who survived an Alabama gas chamber unscathed is going to be featured in a float in the Rose Parade on New Year's Day.

Daniel, who has become a living symbol for animal rescue organizations and advocates seeking to end animal euthanasia gas chambers, will be part of the Lucy Pet Foundation's float, the Star-Ledger reports.

As Patch previously reported, Daniel was one of 18 dogs loaded into a Florence, Ala., gas chamber and defied incredible odds by surviving. Daniel was later adopted by Nutley dog lover Joe Dwyer.
