Adult, Teen, Charged in Strong Arm Robbery

Police say group of about 10 assaulted and robbed two brothers.

An adult and a teen were arrested in connection with a Sept. 17 nighttime attack on and robbery of two brothers, police say.

Belleville police said the two brothers were walking on Joralemon Street at about 10:45 p.m. when two males walked behind them and asked “what you got” before further asking if they had phones and threatening to knock them out if they didn’t turn them over.

Seven or eight more males showed up after the initial two males confronted the brothers, police said. The group reportedly punched the two brothers in the head and stole a pair of Beat headphones before running east on Joralemon.
