Melissa Bradley, 27, faces sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child charges.

A Belleville High teacher's aide has been accused of having sex with two male students.

Melissa Bradley, 27, of Belleville, has been charged with five counts of sexual assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, according to Katherine Carter, a spokeswoman for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.

According to Carter, Bradley engaged in oral and sexual intercourse with two male students. The acts occurred between May 1, 2013 to Feb. 1, 2014 with one student and between Jan. 1, 2014 and March 30, 2014 with the other boy, Carter said.

The boys were both born in 1996 with one recently turning 18 and the other still 17 years old, according to NJ.com.

Donna Dente, a secretary to the Belleville schools superintendent, said the district reported the allegations as soon as they were revealed but declined to comment further on the charges, according to NJ.com.

Bradley is being held at the Essex County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.
