Belleville: Two Arrested for Attempted Armed Robbery

Suspect used pellet gun, police say

A man and a juvenile were arrested in Belleville for attempted armed robbery Jan. 27, police said.

The victim was walking along Nolton Street around 12:40 am when he was approached by Katarr Terrell, 21, of Belleville, and a teenager. The younger assailant reportedly asked to use the victim’s cell phone, then pulled a pellet gun from the waistband of his pants. The two then fled with the phone.

The victim went to a nearby home and called police. Terrell and his accomplice were arrested by officers responding to the call.

Terrell was charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery. The youth faces weapons charges.
