Deliveryman Robbed in Belleville Stun-Gun Attack

Three men used a Taser-type weapon to attack and rob a Chinese-food deliveryman shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday, Belleville police said Friday.

The victim arrived at an apartment on Branch Brook Drive with $20 worth of food. Three people, described as black males, emerged from the apartment, fired the gun at the deliveryman and stole the food. The robbers were last seen running south on Branch Brook Drive.

The deliveryman suffered minor injures and was treated at the scene by members of the Belleville Fire Department.

Police later discovered the apartment was vacant, a department spokesman also said.
