Home Appliances Stolen in Belleville Home Robberies

Television sets and a washer dryer stolen in two reported thefts.

Thieves made off with major ticket consumer items in unrelated thefts, Belleville police said.

At 10:35 a.m. on Aug. 13, the owners of an apartment building on Mill Street reported that two units had been robbed. The two apartments were model apartments furnished for prospective tenants. Police said the robbers got into the model apartments by kicking in the doors.

Police said thieves stole 39-inch Samsung LED television sets from the model apartments. The two televisions stolen were valued at $450 each.

That afternoon shortly after 3, an owner of a rental home reported that tenants who had been evicted from the house had stolen numerous appliances.

Belleville police said the couple left with a stainless steel refrigerator, a washer dryer and a gas grill. The appliances had a total value of approximately $2,300, police said.
