Nutley Officials Warn Residents of Scam
Man reportedly posing as water department employee to get into houses.
In an official notice, Nutley officials warned residents that a man is falsely claiming to be a utilities employee to get into homes.
According to an Wednesday alert, a white or hispanic male is posing as a water department employee in an effort to gain access to homes.
Officials urged anyone with information to contact the Police Department at 973-284-4940.
Nutley residents are reminded not to allow anyone into their home without verification and that all Nutley Water Department employees carry township photo identification at all times.
