Santa Coming to Belleville Dec. 8

Annual toy drive for needy families underway

The Belleville Fire Department and the Belleville Police Department are hosting Santa Day Saturday, Dec. 8, at Belleville Fire Headquarters, 275 Franklin Ave.

Santa will be available for pictures with children, each of whom will also receive a small gifts. Several eateries will once again be donating food for the event.

Santa will be traveling through Belleville on a fire truck beginning at 12 pm, and is then scheduled to arrive at the firehouse around 12:45 pm. Pictures with Santa will be from 1 to 4 pm.

In conjunction with Santa’s arrival, the police and fire departments are also collecting new and gently-used toys to be donated to area families in need. The donations will be coordinated by St. Peter’s Church in Belleville.

Toy donations are being collected through Dec. 15 at the firehouse.

Several students from Belleville High School will also be volunteering during the event.
