Items stolen ranged from $4 to hundreds.

Belleville police say that robbers stole hundreds of dollars worth of food, flat screen televisions and low cost gardening supplies in thefts this month.

On Sunday, July 14, a Mill Street resident witnessed a thief in a minivan drive off with a $4 bag of mulch from their flower bed.

The following Monday, a Washington Ave. resident reported a house burglary.

They told police that when they arrived home, the lock on the door was damaged and the bedroom was ransacked. A 32-inch television set valued at $350 was missing from the bedroom.

The next day a Belmont Avenue resident reported that their home had been broken into and burglarized. While there were no signs of forced entry and doors were locked at the time, the resident reported that $375 worth of food was missing.

On Wednesday, a Union Avenue resident reported a house burglary where thieves stole an iPad and a 24-inch flat screen TV with a combined value of approximately $1,400.

All of the incidents are open investigations.
