Three Honda Civics Stolen in One Day in Belleville

All of the stolen cars were late '90s models, which are frequent targets for thieves.

Three late '90s Hondas were reported stolen in Belleville on Thursday, police said this week.

On Thursday at 9:35 a.m., a resident of Hornblower Avenue told police their green four-door Honda Civic was stolen. The car was recovered later that day on Alva Street.

At 10:50 that day, the owner of a white four-door 1992 Honda Civic was stolen from the intersection of Joralemon and New Street.

At about 4:15 that afternoon, a 1997 grey four-door Honda Civic was reported stolen on Newark Ave. 

The national Insurance Crime Bureau, a nonprofit group supported by insurance companies, lists 1997 models of Honda Civics the second most stolen in the New Jersey after 1994 Honda Accords
