NHS Alumna and Gubernatorial candidate Barbara Buono returned to her alma mater on Tuesday to talk education.
Before taking a tour of the school that included stops in the shop and music classes, the State Senator was joined by Senator Ronald L. Rice, Assemblyman Ralph Caputo and Assemblywoman Cleopatra G. Tucker, in a rundown on educational policies, including her support for universal pre-school.
"We have some of the best schools in the country but we also have some that are failing," Buono said. "And even one failing school district is too many. And we know how to improve them. It is not by cutting $1 billion from those public schools and it's not by vilifying and demonizing teachers."
