Buono Talks Roche, Jobs in Interview

Candidate notes personal connection to Roche campus.

Nutley native and gubernatorial candidate Barbrara Buono used loss of Roche to illustrate her views on overall economic needs of the state in a radio interview today.

Speaking with Townsquare Media’s Tom Mongelli, Buono noted her personal connection to the Roche campus.

"You know, I grew up in Nutley and I learned how to drive in the Hoffmann-LaRoche parking lot," Buono said in the interview.  "And they just moved out of state and the reason is, what these states have in common that New Jersey doesn’t have is strong research partnerships between academia, between colleges and universities and the emerging markets."
