Christie Campaigns In Belleville

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was in full campaign mode on monday morning when he passed through Belleville.

Christie Campaign staff said that the event, which included a stroll through Washington Ave. leading up to a speech where Christie was joined by Belleville Mayor Raymond Kimble was an outreach to business owners and Latino voters.

The chairman of the New Jersey Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Carlos Medina, endorsed Christie.

Luis Linares, the Christie campaign's North Jersey Hispanic chairman, said the governor spoke with a number of small business owners, including the owners of the Belleville Pub.

"He is committed to the Hispanic community and understands their struggles," Linares said. "This is the reason he will carry their vote in November, not just in Belleville and Bloomfield but throughout the state."
