Local Justice: Decisions in Belleville Municipal Court

The Municipal Court handled three separate matters involving controlled dangerous substances.

In State v. Rose Scalpati, of Bloomfield, the State charged defendant with possession of drug paraphernalia on April 16th.  Defendant pleaded guilty to the charge.  The Court sentenced defendant to a 2 year term of probation and imposed fines and costs totaling $1,007.

In State v. Guy Roberts, of Belleville, the State charged defendant with failure to turn over a controlled dangerous substance to the police on April 23rd.  The matter was resolved by a conditional discharge.  The Court imposed a 1 year term of probation and imposed costs totaling $935.

In State v. Joseph Sanger, of Belleville, the State charged defendant with possession of drug paraphernalia on April 8th. The matter was resolved by a conditional discharge.  The Court imposed a 1 year term of probation and imposed costs totaling $935.
