Nutley Power Outage Update

Power expected to be restored by 5:30-7:30 p.m. tonight.

There was a fire in the PSE&G Substation on Chadwick Rd. this morning, Nutley officials said this afternoon. 

Nutley officials said PSE&G reports that they are working on the problem and expect to have the power restored to all areas between 5:30-7:30 pm this evening.

According to PSE&G's online power outage center, 704 Nutley homes are without power as of 3:30 p.m.

If residents need to charge cellphones the health department on Chestnut Street is open until 4 p.m.

Residents with medical needs that require special assistance are advised to call the Nutley Police Department at 973-284-4940 for assistance.
