All Four Ward Councilors Are Up for Re-Election This May

Marie Burke (First Ward), Deputy Mayor Steve Rovell (Second Ward), Vincent Cozzarelli (Third Ward) and John Notari (Fourth Ward) each told Patch they plan to run for re-election to Belleville's Municipal Council.

Our question is: Do you want the Council to remain as it is? Or do you think it is time for a change?

We want your opinion. Take our poll below. And, as always, feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.

I wish someone would correct the Belleville signs! We are the cherry blossom capital of the world, not the capitol - it is so embarrassing!

What this town needs is a complete over haul. I have lived here for over 40 years and what is happening is to painful to watch. Very sad when a town with so much potential keeps decomposing (it's a dead town with no new business) when so much unoccupied land and buildings are available. Just look at the towns around us, maybe we need to ask what they are doing to make it work.

Notari and Burket at least have their wards' interest at heart. I don't agree with everything they stand for, but at least they are fighting for the wards that elected them. The second and third wards really have no representation. What has either one of these reps done for their wards? Get rid of Rovell and Cozzarelli. The problem is no one wants to run because our reputation for political favors has put us in such a bad light.

Belleville needs something new & change!, I'm eighteen, lived here my whole life, and there's never anything going on. Belleville has nothing to offer, and that needs to change!
