Beautiful Music from Belleville Middle School

The Music Students at Belleville Middle School to perform concerts in May

The music program at is very popular, with approximately 175 students currently participating.  The bands, orchestra and choruses have been hard at work since January preparing for their Spring Concerts, the first of which will take place tonight at the school, located at 279 Washington Avenue, Belleville.

Tonight, under the leadership of Mr. Gabriel Nazziola and Ms. Amanda Mullany, the 7th and 8th grade choruses will perform, beginning at 7 p.m. 

The 7th graders will sing Any way You Want It, Someone Like You, I’ll Be There, and Bohemian Rhapsody, with Mr. Nazziola at the baton.

The 8th graders will take on Elijah Rock, Empire State of Mind, Seasons of Love, and One Song, under the direction of Ms. Mullany.

Next Wednesday, May 16th, the Belleville Middle School Orchestra, Jazz Band and Band will take the stage.   The jazz band, which meets after school one day each week, will play Take the “A” Train and Blues in Hoss Flat.

The orchestra, under the baton of Mr. John Furia, will perform Star Spangled Banner, Busy As a Bee, Over the Rainbow, and Pachelbel Cannon.

Finally, the band, with Ms. Mullany, will play Into the Storm, Deep River, Kitty Hawk 1903, and Repercussions.

The public is welcome at both performances.

The Middle School Jazz Band, together with the High school Orchestra and Choirs, will compete at the Music in the Parks Competition in Freehold on June 1st.
