High School Crowns Mr. and Miss Belleville
Prizes included a $1,000 scholarship for the winners.
Two students deemed to have demonstrated poise, personality and confidence have been crowned Belleville High School's first-ever Mr. and Miss Belleville.
P.J. Gencarelli, 17, and Andrea Lindsay, 17, impressed the judges May 14 and scored a $1,000 as part of this honor.
“I am extremely grateful for this title. I worked very hard and prepared so much that night, yet I never expected to have the appreciation I have now towards becoming the 1st Miss Belleville!” Lindsay, a junior, said.
Gary Politano, an educator at Belleville, orchestrated the event using his previous experience with Ms. Universe pageants.
