Child Abuse Prevention Month Observed at Essex County College

The WISE Women’s Center of Essex County College will host its annual Child Abuse Prevention Month resource fair Wednesday, April 16, on the 2nd Level Forum of the Newark campus, in partnership with the state Department of Children and Families’ Division of Child Protection and Permanency. The event, free and open to the public, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

More than 20 local and state agencies are expected to be sharing information about programs and services during the resource fair. The purpose of the event is to inform both the ECC community and the general public about various programs promoting healthy families and work toward the prevention of child abuse.
