It’s Board of Education trustee election day in Belleville, and voters will also say yes or no the $61.3 million 2012-13 school budget.
Four candidates are seeking two, three-year terms on the Belleville Board of Education today. Polls are open from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Sitting Board of Education President Peter Zangari, Jr. is a candidate, and there are three challengers: Erika Jacko, Jeanne Lombardo and Ralph Vellon.

The Board passed the final 2012-2013 school budget that contains a zero dollar tax increase for a home assessed at $244,562, the average value of a home in Belleville, according to Edward Appleton, board of education secretary/business administrator.
This is the second year in a row that the average tax bill has not increased because of the school budget, administrators say.
