Kiwanis Club Hosts Annual Barbecue at Cerebral Palsy Center

Belleville police officers also provided a K9 demonstration.

Members of the Belleville-Nutley Kiwanis Club, Belleville Police, Belleville High School Key Club and students at the 1st Cerebral Palsy Center of New Jersey came together for an afternoon of barbecuing and festivities.

The Kiwanis Club hosted its annual barbecue May 30 with members preparing, cooking and serving students, teachers and administrators at the center and other attendees a home-cooked lunch.

Belleville police officers brought along their K9 companions for a demonstration on how the dogs are trained and prepped for emergencies.

“The event was a memorable time for the students of the 1st Cerebral Palsy Center and for everyone in attendance. We especially thank the members of the Kiwanis Club, and the officers of the Belleville Police K-9 Unit.  We hope continue this next year as well," said  Belleville High School student and Key Club member Jinal Kipadia.
