Snow Rap: Bet Your 'School's Closed' Announcement Wasn't This Funny

World's worst rap song delivers every kid's favorite news: No school today!

Students everywhere welcome that email or text officially canceling school, but wouldn't it be even better if your principal notified you with a remake of Vanilla Ice's "Ice Ice Baby?"

That's exactly how some kids in South Carolina got the news Wednesday.

The video is equal parts terrible, adorable and endearing. You can—and should—watch it above.

Nontraditional notifications seem to be spreading: A superintendent from Roxbury, NJ, helped warm up his district when he announced his school cancellation with some help from a school choir.

Any tips for school officials looking to get creative with their communications? Has your district done something similar? Let us know in the comments!

Who wants to listen to that at 5:a.m. in the morning. I would have hung up. Not cute. Save your so called talent for the school talent show.

I thought this was very funny. I even played it back for friends as we danced around the room. I believe it is the quirky stuff in life that makes it all worth it. We all need a giggle every now and then and this passed dumb and went 180 degrees back to funny. If you want to see serious meet us in Washington DC March 16th 2014 for a mass protest against corruption when the mace and flashbangs start being thrown by police you will have a new respect for the little giggles in life. anonymous
