BHS Wrestlers Win Again

Gencarelli's :19 pin helps Bucs improve to 15-3

Highlighted by Ricky Gencarelli's 19-second pin at 120 pounds, the Belleville High School wrestling team continued its winning ways last night with a 70-11 home victory over Newark East Side.

Daniel Giangrande started the onslaught with a second-period pin for the Buccaneers (15-3), who also saw Steven Cubillos (132), Sean Carey (138), Anthony Avino (152), and Nick Nardachone (182) deck their opponents.

Belleville also benefited from five forfeits and a major decision score by O'Brayan Ramirez at 145. East Side had a point deducted from its final tally because its coach stepped on the mat.

The Bucs will face Bordentown and Holy Cross tomorrow at Bordentown High School.
