Safety Clinic Offered for Nutley Coaches

Clinic slated for Aug. 28.

In preparation for the Fall Sports Season, Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci and the Nutley Department of Parks & Recreation have scheduled the Rutgers Safety Clinic to ensure all coaches are ready for their first practice.

Officials said that with the wide range of sports and activities offered by the Nutley Department of Parks and Recreation, it is essential that our volunteers be supplied with the information that will allow them to properly react to situations and emergencies.

The Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Clinic (Sports Awareness for Educating Today's Youth) is a three-hour orientation program. It fulfills requirements for Volunteer Coaches Safety Orientation and Training Skills Programs set by state law and provides partial civil immunity protection to volunteer coaches under Little League law.
