Ready for Barbecue Season?

You don't have to go far to get the food and supplies you need to prepare the perfect meal.

The official barbeque season begins this weekend and you can shop locally to get the ingredients you need to throw the perfect barbecue:

1) The first tip is cheat - if you don't want to cook, you can order your barbeque from Jim Dandy's in Nutley. The restaurant is located at 563 Franklin Ave.

2) Second, no cookout is complete without yummy sweet treats. The Stuffed Cupcake in Nutley. Stuffed Cupcake at 231Franklin Ave. has drawn praise by everyone from Oprah Winfrey, to the Cooking Channel to Rachel Ray. Reviews have raved about cake that is so moist, and stuffed with goodness.

Flavors like Banana, Strawberry Blonde, Boston Crème and Red Velvet are just some of what make the place unique to Nutley and across the statte.

3)For your meats and side dishes, shop at ShopRite, with a location at 437 Franklin Ave. in Nutley.

4)Need a reipe to get you started, check out this recipe from www.allrecipes.com for Whisky Grilled Baby Back Ribs.

5)Want the perfect summer drink to serve at your outdoor gathering? How about this one for Wine Coolers.

  •  1 bottle white wine
  • 3 cups orange juice
  • 1 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
  • 2 cans of lemon-lime soda

Combine all ingredients except for soda, mix well. Just before serving, slowly add soda. Serve over crushed or cubed ice.
