Blood Drive Dedicated to Beloved Org Members

Irish American Group Sponsored Blood Drive to Help Red Cross

The Belleville Irish American Association sponsored a Blood Drive Wednesday, from 4-9 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Bridge Street.

The event was conducted in partnership with Red Cross and held in memory of George and MaryLou Lynch. George was a founding member of the association and served as president for a few years. The charitable event was dedicated to the couple for their significant contributions to the organization and the community.

The group regularly organizes charitable events in order to give back to the community. This time, they chose to do a blood drive because according to president Patrick Millar, "We found out that Red Cross is in dire need of blood donations. They even had to buy blood at times in order to fill the need.
