The United Way of Essex and West Hudson is looking for leaders in the fields of education, health, combatting poverty and community service.

Do you know someone who is a Miracle Maker?

The United Way of Essex and West Hudson wants to honor leaders who have contributed to local communities in the fields of education, health, combatting poverty and providing community service.

But the nominations are due on Tuesday. The nomination form can be found here.

The nominees should have a demonstrated record of service to community, should have worked to better the lives of the people in a community, should be a community role model and should have the ethic of advancing the common good for all.

The winners will be honored at the Night of Miracles Gala on May 5 at the Pleasantdale Chateau.

The United Way of Essex and West Hudson serves people in the following communities: Belleville, Maplewood, Newark, South Orange, West Orange  - along with those in East Orange, East Newark, North Arlington, Harrison, Nutley, Irvington, Orange and Kearny.

The nomination form can be faxed in to the United Way offices at 973-242-6726 - or delivered to the offices at 303-09 Washington Street in Newark.
